For this project, I designed the cover and pagination for Hurricane Season by Fernanda Melchor, a novel that delves into the devastating reality of a small Mexican village ravaged by violence, poverty, trauma, and degradation.
The cover concept draws directly from the novel’s themes of destruction, with the title's letters appearing to collapse and scatter, evoking the chaotic aftermath of a storm. This visual metaphor mirrors the turbulence and collapse within the story, setting the tone for the reader before they even open the book.
